two things called "rental"

The same word is used for two different services, and it changes everything — price, contract, who installs. This page is about rental for an event: a wall that comes to a fair, a concert or a congress with our team, is assembled, attended and dismantled, and returns to us. If what you want is a LED wall installed permanently in your shop window, showroom or venue without buying it, that is an operating lease: a leasing company buys the screen and you use it for a fixed monthly fee, with a purchase option at the end of the term. Both are available; they are quoted differently, and it is worth saying which one you mean in the first line.

what decides whether it works — before the screen

A rental wall is booked in half an hour and ruined in five minutes, almost always for a reason that has nothing to do with the screen. Distance: a millimetre of pixel pitch wants roughly a metre of viewing distance before the dots show, so a visitor standing at two metres needs a fine pitch and a stage watched from twenty metres does not — the pitch is chosen from the floor plan, not from the price list. Power: our standard fair panel draws about 494 W per square metre at full white; a 6 m² wall is about 3 kW, which is the whole of a single-phase 16 A socket (about 3.6 kW), and a 10 m² wall needs a 32 A supply. That is the peak, not the average, but the circuit breaker trips on the peak. Weight and support: 18 to 30 kg per square metre depending on the series, plus the structure; the constraint is not the floor but how the wall stands — a ground-support frame needs around 40 cm of depth behind the screen, and hanging from a roof must be requested from the venue weeks ahead. The window: the venue decides when lorries enter and when dismantling starts, and those hours cannot be bought.

content: the mistakes we see every season

A stand wall is not 16:9; it is the shape that comes out of the cabinets, and a 1920 × 1080 film on a 2880 × 1080 wall is either stretched or bordered in black. We give you the exact pixel dimensions before the film is produced. A white background looks good on the designer's monitor and draws roughly three times the power of a dark one on the wall — in a warm hall it is what makes the thermal protection intervene. Brightness at maximum in a closed hall dazzles the person standing in front of the screen and makes nothing look better. And the screen ordered last: once the floor plan is signed, the power ordered and the film shot, only compromises are left. A LED wall is decided together with the stand.

how the quote is built

Three different items, and confusing them is why two quotes can look incomparable. The screen fee, by surface and by day, decreasing over the duration because the bulk of the work — loading, transporting, assembling, dismantling — is done once; it is charged with a minimum of seven days, because the cabinets leave the fleet for preparation, testing, travel and reconditioning whether the event lasts two days or seven. The logistics — transport, handling in the hall, the team's travel when distance requires it — counted on the actual days. And the attendance: the video processor and the technician who stays, which is the item cut first in a cheap quote and the only one that matters when something goes wrong at ten o'clock on the first morning. We carry roughly ten per cent of the cabinets as spares, so a failure is replaced rather than explained.
